United Kingdom 2019 Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 Santorini Black

48 mph over 20k miles at 24-25mpg in my just sold 3.6 TDV8.

I do a 90 mile round trip to/from work with only one set of traffic lights between home and work. Mainly motorway.

Previous Mercs have averaged 52MPH and 35 MPG over up to 80k miles over the same route which I have been driving daily for the past 10 years. Increased traffic has reduced the average MPH a bit in recent years.

All the MPH averages include all driving during the owership period including all motorway delays and local driving.

Managed 33MPG on my last run in to work in my 'new' 4.4 TDV8.

That surprises me...I thought you would average over 70mph and return 4mpg based on your driving style and previous motors! Wink Current MY2020

Bit late in this morning so less traffic. Averaged 70MPH over 45 miles and 28.5MPG. The 4.4 TDV8 with the 8 speed gearbox really is an excellent unit. MY23 D350 HSE

I think you find that all the averages (speed/mpg) are done over a rolling 1000km or 621miles ..... so it's not the life of your vehicle. Land Rover Addict

No, it's based on starting from the last time you reset the counters. It can be based on the life of the vehice if you never reset them or just the last journey if you reset them before you set off Smile No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

It's not the life of the vehicle. It's based on a sample. If you've ever had the mpg display on constantly you'll see it jump back/forward in huge chunks as the sample changes. The vehicle can't track the mpg over the mileage of the car - it would run out of the limited RAM the simple computer that works it out has! Land Rover Addict
