22" alloys on a supercharged..

Now im normally all for big wheels on a car but since having just got my supercharged rr it came with new 22" alloys on it.
Im sure i read somewhere a while back that ideally a range rover shouldnt be fitted with any bigger than 20" rims due to ruining the ride quality, is this true and if so can it also affect suspention bushes and wheel bearings etc when running 22s.
Am considering purchasing a set of original supercharger wheels as feel the car would drive nicer on these? can anyone confirm is there much of a difference in ride quality? thanks

Ideally i need to drive the same type of car on 20" rims to see how much different it is, as to be honest i dont find the ride to harsh on the 22" alloys but wonder how much 'better' it would be,

Got 22"s fitted on my SC. Had 20"s fitted originally.

Don't really notice a difference in ride quality.

I have original overfinch 22's so I believe that gets around some of the concerns on cheaper wheels. I also have a set of 19's for winter. They give a softer ride for sure but the 22's are fine for me. I have come from m cars and my other car is a mini cooper s which I think they forgot to put suspension in Laughing So my tolerance levels are probably better than some

At the end of the day mate doesn't matter what anyone else says it is you that needs to live with it. For me I like the look of my wheels enough to put up with a slightly harder ride Thumbs Up L405 4.4 SDV8 Santorini/Black VSE

Personally I'd not put 22s on an L322. They are now being fitted to the L405 so why not wait till some OE 22s come non the market that are fit for purpose? No doubt we will now see people swapping those for larger wheels, probably 24s. Discovery 4 HSE

I'm (still) toying with the idea of 22s for my car.

I have a 4.2 S/C with the factory 20s wrapped in Continental tyres. All wheels 100% unmarked and all tyres with 6/7mm tread.

If you've got 22" Overfinch supersports then I might be interested in some sort of swap deal with maybe some cash coming your way (depending on condition and tyres etc)....dunno....just an idea? Whistle

The wheels and tyres were brand new just before i purchased the car so are unmarked and tyres have covered less than 1k miles, i dont think there called supersports but are an Overfinch wheel

Ahhh. They're Overfinch Olympus (style) - which I absolutely love!

I think you'll find yours are copies - good copies - but the Overfinch logo on the spoke looks wrong - exactly like I saw on a set of Japanese replicas when I was looking.

If you look at the genuine ones, the logo is slightly smaller and more centralised to the spoke, plus the 'font' or typeface on yours isn't quite as per the genuine items.

They look the business though IMO.

I was unsure if they were genuine or not, ,my centre caps look different to the proper ones also, are these replica wheels ok on such a big heavy car? I might end up putting oe alloys back on her as shes a nice original and well looked after example.

Some people are very down on replicas as they're not subject to the same EU tests as OEM wheels and yes, on a heavy car that can be a concern.

That said I know plenty of people that have run replica 22" wheels on their FFRRs for years without any issues.

I don't know what your insurance company would say if you were involved in an accident with replica wheels....might be an excuse for them to wriggle out of paying.

Far better to just let me take them off your hands to save any worry I reckon.... Whistle Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...
