Thats what I thought but I dont have the block.

Checked other side and no sign of it there either!

When you look at the pic you can see the 3 holes for bolting the block to and also the electric clip/connection is cable tied to the yellow pipe.

WTF ! Shocked

For the uninitiated, this is what should be there:

You may need to check back through the history on the car find out what has been done to it....it must be on the car somewhere otherwise the Air Susp wouldn't work properly? Surely not on the other side as even LHD cars have the valve block in this position.

Also maybe worth asking Duckworths Dan to ask a "tech" if they have ever come across this before. Your yellow pipe does look "new", mine was quite faded. I wonder if in a previous fix it was moved inside the car for some strange reason?

What a PITA Confused .

But the question is can I still deflate the air spring without it and WITHOUT stabbing it with a knife?

You can depressure direct at the struts, softly open, when the air begins to flood out, stop the open procedere with the 12-key, and wait some minutes, until the strut is empty.

Yes, as Meerbusch says, if you can get a 12mm spanner on the nut at the top of the airspring and turn it enough to allow a trickle of air out, then wait a good while for all air to leave the spring. Battery disconnected (best) or minimum air compressor fuse removed, of course!

You need arms like snakes, fingers like a monkey and with eyes in the end, and a special shape-changing spanner to achieve this Smile .

Bob, can you not trace the pipes and see if the valve block has been relocated (which I doubt).

Makes me wonder if the valve block is really required.

Before the airbag problem was the suspension working perfectly?
