2006 4.2 supercharged cut out and wont start

hi tonight my rr decided to cut out without warning and then refuse to start again
The AA have come out and there are no fault codes stored in the memory.
He tried to start it with easystart and it didnt even splutter!
he has checked every fuse in the boot and passenger compartment all working just fine.
The car has an lpg conversion, the car was running on gas as it cut out.
It is almost like a crank position sensor is not signalling!
has any one got any ideas as to where I should start proding around tomorrow?
could it just be a crank position sensor and it not flaging up a fault code?
any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry it was running on LPG when it cut out!
And will not start even when I tried the emergency gas start sequence.
I am stumped!

Does the engine turn over but not fire or when you turrn the key it does Censored all? If its the latter i would put the batt on charge over night to make sure electric wizardry is not the issue (like a dead alternator etc) [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

If you use search on the forum you can find some issues at quarter full tank with the secondary pump in the tank. The tank is "saddle" shaped and the secondary pump transfers petrol from the "offside" to the main pump side. If that pump does not work, the fuel stays in the offside. Since your pumps will be running very little due to the LPG, it may have seized up or is full of dirt. Lets be fair normally S/C fuel pumps have a very active life Very Happy MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Hi as I was running on lpg at the time would it have just stopped? I could see that it would if it was starved of fuel as not being transferred to the other tank and then back to the engine but not whilst on LPG . I will get 40 litres of fuel and chuck that in. Should that be enough for it to get over to the other side ofthe tank?
If this works is it a transfer pump that I would be after?

as ebajema and gary say, there have been issues where having less than a quarter tank of petrol causes problems...why the lpg part stopped working is a matter for a qualified lpg service engineer to figure out, you dont want to mess about with gas ... ... - .- -.

How did you get 40 litres to a car that won't start Bow down

What did you use to pull the codes from the vehicle? OBDII scanners will only give you sensor faults etc from the engine, but nothing from the ancillary systems (BCU etc).

Have you confirmed the battery has charge? Land Rover Addict

I used an autoboss v30 to read the ecu
Used two 20 litre jerry cans for the fuel.
As for switching back to petrol yes I tried but nothing different.
I have checked the compression on 3 cylinders two on one side and one on the other. All compression ok 150 ish the plugs are wet and I have tested that I have got a spark and Imh indicator lead flashes!
I am really stumped.
Compression fuel and spark should equal bang!
I am having to recharge the battery at the moment and have got the LPG installer coming over later today to have a look.
He said something about if it is trying to run both fuels at the same time it will not run!
This is all very frustrating as it has been good as gold you til now!
Again any suggestions greatly appreciated.

it sounds like the lpg setup is somehow stopping the petrol side from firing or the battery might just be under power.. ... - .- -.
