There's a cable hanging in mid air that seems to come from the black rectangular box above it. I'm guessing I'll need that too, as it looks (from the other side) that its all one piece 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

you can see what's left of the cable and the missing sensor/link arm

Regarding the cable- is that hard wired into the black box that's mounted to the chassis?

There should be a connector plug on the end of the wire that plugs into the sensor

Yeah, I'm assuming that's been ripped off. I'm also guessing that said plug isn't available to buy and is part of the cable- which I'm guessing is a direct connection to the black box? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

You might have to visit a scrap yard and acquire one and splice it into the original wiring

I've found the plug. It's available as a short harness so that a repair can be made.

If its any good to anyone, the part numbers are:

Ride Height Sensor: LR020636
Wiring/Plug for above: YMQ503220

Wel the parts arrived yesterday. Managed to get a replacement plug off eBay and soldered that into place. Fitted the sensor and bracket etc then connected Allcomms.
Before I'd fired the programme up, the fault message cleared.
Bit puzzled by that as my understanding was, faults remained until cleared? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Sounds like a win-win there fella Smile

Though how on earth did it get ripped off in the first place as something must have flown up and impacted it?? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Joining in late but yes as Noddy found they do a repair kit for the plug.

Just a note mine threw this error up a lot I replaced sensor and plug because code reader said nearside front sensor earth fault and it came up as faulty on off road screen on dash.
Fault kept re-occuring.
Then eventually common sense took over and looked at offside one. Plug was damaged and cable routed wrong so it was trapped!!.
apparently its not unknown for the wrong plug to go in the wrong socket on the suspension control module!!
not had it out to check but since I re routed cable to offside plug and cleaned it all up not had a fault! (fingers crossed) Mine was a blue one! Smile

Just had the quotes back from Dan on the height sensors - fronts are less than 20 quid LH rear is less than £30 but the RH rear is £75 quid!

Whats the betting the RH rear is the one that goes most often........

Have to wait for my RSW AllComms to turn up and let me know which is at fault. "On first name terms with my local Dealer......now."
