SUSPENSION FAILURE!!!!!!

I have a 55 plate Range Rover Vogue and have just had 'Suspension Failure' flash up on the dash. There is hissing coming from the off side front. It is now warning not to go over 30 miles per hour. Does anyone have ideas on how much this should cost to repair? Is it common? Would really appreciate all your help.

I just did mine last weekend, about £227+vat for the new air suspension strut and 1.5 - 2 hours work.

It is about 7 bolts. I am useless at DIY, but had a go anyway.

Youtube video instructions below, thanks to Storey

All the common symptoms of air suspension failure.. "Suspension Failure" error msg and hissing Laughing

Cost wise, it could be anything from a broken air pipe to a complete air spring, new air spring are ~£350 each so £380 to £450 for the complete repair at a garage.

If it is the air spring, I'd recommend getting them done in pairs Thumbs Up

Thanks a lot for your help. I have just spent £1000 on the rear bushes and some other faults that were found when it was plugged in! Was hoping that would be it for a while at least. Seems not. Crying or Very sad

if you put the car into off road mode to extend the air springs and either use your hand to feel for air or spray some fairy liquid solution over it to see if any bubbles appear, you will know if it is a hole in the air bag itself.

you got to start somewhere!! Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Steve I have to replace my OS front as well. Seen on Island4x4 that they do a Dunlop air spring for 185 (ex vat).

My question is are these any good or should I stick with the Delphi?

I know the bloke who is in charge of the r + d at dunlop and he designed and tested the struts they make and they are better than delphi in terms quality from what ive seen and they are made in coventry next to were parts for airbus and stuff are made I personally would change the pair so they match charectoristically onto no6 Range Rover
