Well, the cars back from the menders and all lovely and quiet again... no screech, not leaking fuel, perfect.

Barrelling down the M6 Toll very early yesterday morning through the rain. In the outside lane overtaking a truck, and the wipers suddenly stop working.... Luckily it was about 6.30am and the motorway was pretty quiet, even so a nervous few moments getting over to the inside lane

I was only a couple of hundred yards from my exit so stopped at the tool booth to pay and thought I'll try the old ignition off then on again trick... hey presto wipers working again!!

I'll say this for my Range... in the 4 months I've owned it, its never bored me!!  Lloyd Barnes

Rainex is a great product, alternatively, carry a potato in your car, if wipers fail, cut it in half & wipe over the screen! I remember this from Blue Peter many, many years ago!Maybe you can get a price from Dan for one.

I just changed my relay and fixed that exact problem.

I had a read through the thread. I'm hoping the car was just having a brain fart as I drove it for two days since and no further issues. They stopped as I adjusted the sensitivity switch on the auto wipers. As soon as I turned the ignition off and on again, they were back to normal.

If it happens again, at least I'll know what to swap out first. Did yours happen infrequently at first? Lloyd Barnes

Yes, it was intermittent (fault as opposed to the the wiper setting). It seemed the most likely culprit and was changed. £7.39 inc VAT from LR and a £5 for my specialist to fit it.
