day time running lights

Hi all

Another quick question

Is it possible to set the day time running lights to come on with the auto head light setting (when the head

lights aren't on)

Thumbs Up Kiel

If you have a feed into the headlamp 12+v, then detection of the current flowing when the headlights come on should activate the DRL dongle to turn off/dim the DRLs .

As you have a 2012MY yes the DRL feature can be enabled using a Faultmate Thumbs Up This will give you just the front LED side lights on all the time with the light switch in "off" or "auto"

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic12179.html

There appears to be conflicting reports as to whether a main dealer can, cannot or more importantly is even prepared to consider enabling them though Rolling Eyes

I can do it for you but Scotland to Sussex is a very long trek just to get DRL's enabled so your best bet is to contact Pete at Bell Autos (Site Sponsor) as I know he also has the required multi-vehicle licence and he is far closer to you than I am Laughing

Thanks Andy

I'm not actually that keen on DRLs especially Audis BMs and the like to bright.

LR have got them just right but maybe its more of Sport thing(still a little residual left in the blood Mr. Green )

On another point what make are your steps and who did your RSE conversion?

Thumbs Up Kiel

Side steps are the normal dealer fit accessory and if you mean the RSE on my FFRR then it was factory supplied but if you are referring to SWMBO's D3 then I sourced the parts and worked it out for myself Cool
