Scotland 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Buckingham Blue

Thanks for all your help, really appreciated. I guess it'll do no harm to look. The other two I was going to look at whilst in the area were these:

And since the thought of Ford electrics fills me with dread, I can see me in the earlier black Vogue. Although the grey HSE looks much more 'restrained'. Guess we'll see when I go and look at them.

Buy the first one you suggested... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...?logcode=p
Its got more to offer than the rest IMHO...

This one http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...?logcode=p
i would check out carefully as the bootlid badges are missing (accident damage)

And finally this one... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...?logcode=p
just be aware its an SE spec! So, sparse is the spec unfortunately, but then that may not bother you? Things like PDC, xenons, sunroof, sat nav, amplified stereo, half the leather inside is vinyl are not included in SE trim... All things to consider when buying...

Ahhhh, decisions! Laughing The lack of a sunroof is something that would bother me, to be honest. I suffer from SAD and having a hole in the roof makes an incredible difference to that, strange as that may sound. I'd never even noticed the lack of RR script on the black one's top tailgate, and that's something I normally would have clocked straight off. Rolling Eyes
At the end of the day, it's got to be 'right'. And if none of them are, then I keep looking; I've a load of bmi points to use before they disappear now BA's taken them over, so I guess it may be time to start searching within 30 miles of umpteen different airports... Embarassed

If a sunroof is a priority then its only the Vogue that has one as standard... Available in the SE & HSE too as an extra but only standard in a Vogue...

Here are the specs of the various models, from the 2003 brochure, if it helps...

So the black one has the touchscreen, which is more intuitive to use, but a pain to mod or upgrade, and a better hi-fi, plus if you remove the A bar and spots, you could sell and get a few quid. But holes in the bumper........

The Buckingham blue one, which looks almost black, has the badging missing off the tailgate, but has a DVD player and rear screens and headphones etc. Does not have touchscreen or better stereo, compared to 2005 model. The leather looks a lighter colour, which personally I prefer.

My 2003 car needs another upper tailgate fitting, as its starting to rust on the bottom edge, so not necessarily accident damage if its been painted, but could be.

At the end of the day, go and see a few, drive them, see whats "normal" and take it from there.

I think I've read that before, thanks though. I've seen a few SEs and HSEs with sunroofs, but as you say, every Vogue has one. The rear DVD is a big bonus with two small children, but then what's the cost of a personal DVD player these days? Like you say, I'll only know for sure when I see them.

Another question, daft as it may be - is the '05 one going to be more difficult or expensive to fit a towbar to?

Cool, thanks. Where was that from? I think the '03 one has one, I know for sure the '05 doesn't. Spoke to both dealers on the 'phone earlier and remembered why I don't like dealing with dealers. Rolling Eyes
The one at Arnold Shark actually sounds like a better bet after speaking to them. I got the original reg of the other one, so can anyone tell me any of its history from that? It's SA03 BBS. There's only a partial history with it, which could be innocent or it could be otherwise. I'd like to think that the original service book stayed with the first owner and that it's nothing more malignant than that... Confused

If it hasnt got the history then just avoid it unless you can take the chance of something being hidden for a reason.... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
