So I'm toying with the idea of some 22" wheels on the S/C. I go through stages of "do it", "don't do it" on an almost daily basis.

The bigger the rim, the less cushioning you will get from the road, so unless you are happy to compromise the comfort....stay with the 20's or go to 19's Land Rover Addict

Got 20" stormers on mine and think they look the mutts (made me buy the vehicle) but when stretched to 22 I think the spokes go out of proportion so stay on 20"s

The wheels and tyres always look better defined when clean and the tyres satiny shiny.

I lost a tyre and damaged a rim last year in potholes, and that was on 20's. I hate to think what 22's are like for damage from potholes, kerning and general wear and tear. Also aftermarket you'd want to be really sure that they are up to the job, bearing in mind Land Rover themselves never designed 22 inch wheels to go on the car, or optimised the set up to take such large wheels!

When i was considering what wheels to put on the car the land rover salesman advised that anything over 20" may invalidate the warranty. In addition if taken off-road or driving in snow the traction is very poor because of the low profile tyres - least that was what i was told. |

Well that seems to be a rather clear result. So what are you going to do?

Personally I think 20s are the biggest that you should go. Larger than that and you devalue the look of the car making it more boy racer. For that you need a sport. But each to their own, put what you like on, but if you are looking for appreciation from others then go classy and sporty with 20 inch SC wheels. Tom
