yes they would, i gave some advice to a chap who has done his square head lights, the glass on your head lights come off far easier then the later ones, you just need to measure to find out size rings you need, he never came back to me with the sizes he used.. V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Thanks for the quick reply Daveo, I don't suppose you still remember where you got the loom from the one with the split for courtesy lights. I personally think that feature would be awesome.

Such a cool mod for less than £100.

Is this all I would need?
2x big rings
2x smaller rings
Loom
2x resistors Bushy

Do Professionals do this?

Hi,

Does anyone please know if professionals will do this upgrade as opposed to DIY. It appeals but I would lack the confidence to do this myself?

Thanks

@ Googsy, you have quite a way with words.

I was a bit apprehensive about opening the headlights, I only had a hair-dryer available and that worked fine. I had it on full heat and full blast, kept heating it all around and evenly and it came off as described by other, putting pressure to "peel of" the "glass" while keeping the heat going. After that it was a doddle.

Mind you the rings are not working but that is probably a wiring fault (the plus and minus are inverted) or all four rings are broken or no power to the wiring (I put them in parallel to the side lights). I plan to look into that later. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

i've ordered a pair of neon type rings from china to put on top of my fog lights..i should be able to somehow silicon the things onto the light and with the outer trim pressing down on it it should be secure [in theory]

You should test the rings first before fitting I used a battery from a cordless drill. One thing to note the wiring is not logical. There are two wires for the existing sidelights these are black and red. when connecting the halos its not black to black and red to red. Its actually black to red and red to black. hope that helps. Anyone know where I can get my lights converted? I have a spare set of Bi-Xenons which are adaptive and were in the RR when I bought it. I got a set with LED's but these are not adaptive so would like to have the originals converted.

Happy to pay for the cost of parts, return shipping and a reasonable charge got labour if someone can convert for me, ideally I would use as DRLs but could live with them

It maybe worth contacting him and ask if he does the conversion.

I got quoted £325 for the above conversion if I supplied my own lights and refitted them myself which will require some minor electrical work at the point of refitting, hence they are not straightforward 'plug and play' although the company says it's an easy job for a competent DIYer or a pro.

I decided to stick with the stock factory lights, aside to sourcing LED bulbs.

I have the eBay ones but they don't have the. Turning lights. I asked about transferring the bits over from my adaptive lights and was told that it could not be done. When I ordered I was unaware that there were different types for the same shape but ordered as the originals were misted up and one part (now know to be turning light) was slightly distorted. Did think of trying to swap the bits with LEDs from the new lights which I fitted to the old lights but may then end up having to buy a third set if I can't put back together so would rather just try to work on the originals (I can live with the melted bit).

I have seen on here how to take apart but not how to reassemble to stop them leaking etc. Do the halos require a ballast as some I have seen do as do the ones I have on my BMW. There is a difference between knowing your sh!t and knowing you're sh!t
