ipod touch - Problem

My daughter has an ipod touch 4th gen - Since she has downloaded the latest operating system it is constantly asking for her itunes password. Not just when she wants to download anything, but also when she wants to open an existing app.

Anyone got an ideas Confused

Thank you Thumbs Up

Go into settings and disable iTunes Match - it's trying to store the songs on the PC and in the cloud and pull them from there instead of storing them on the device - it will also try to update the play count for each tune and app that is used.

I had this.

The answer in my case anyway was that the new version of IOS forced a more complex Apple ID password which requires a mix of upper and lower case letters / numbers.

On iTunes, log in and change your Apple ID password to something stronger. eg change "password" to "Password123"

Save

Sync iPod

Should be good. Graham

Graham - Her old password is working no problem, but it's just that it's always asking for it to be entered (every 2 - 3 minutes) Was that the same with you?

Simes - Been through settings, but can't find 'iTunes match' can you help?

Simon - Will that lose everything she has stored on it?

Thank you Bow down

Johnte, let it run a back-up, then everything is saved (progress in games/emails/messages etc), then do the factory restore. This reinstalls the main software and settings, then you can 'restore' from the backup you have just made. iTunes will prompt you if you want to restore from a backup or if you want to set it up as a new iPod.

Or you could do what I suggest, as it's the answer to the problem... Very Happy
