On my current Sport the bracket the detachable tow ball fits into has a built-in Eye for attaching a tow rope, I cannot see a similar Eye on the real Range Rover I'm getting next so wonder if there is one. The TPOix handbook has no mention of a towing eye as far as I can see. |

Nope. You need to buy the complete kit (armature, towball, electrics, ECU); the receiver for the towing ball is in the armature. Try Dan at Duckworth Parts (site sponsor) Graham

Yes the part they removed had one as well. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Sorry I should have explained. I have a new Westminster on order which will have the detachable 13 pin comfort tow bar fitted, but the handbook does not show a towing eye anywhere.

Mine isn't behind A panel it physically protrudes from the underside of the car, I suspect it will be on the towing sub assembly as its all westfalia and they are unlikely to have modified it a lot. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

OK, just to be clear. The RRS has an eye (exactly like a D3 does) which is both central and an integral part of the chassis. It is hugely heavy duty.

Mine doesnt screw in, its permanent and acording to the handbook on my knee at the moment it is designed to be used for recovery in on road situations of either the rangie or another vehicle being recovered. In my eyes if it can be used for another vehicle to recover the rangie then it can be used for the rangie to recover a smaller vehicle, on road only though. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Will the new Westminster not have the all round camera action going on as standard? |
