With my fuel gauge on the line and yellow warning light on, range left @ 20 miles, I can only get @ 80 - 85 litres into the car. I have had no change in mpg but only get @ 425 miles out of a tank (was easily getting over 500).

I have a similar problem but the opposite way.. When I fill her up, the gauge goes to full, but doesn't budge for ages after good but of driving and then all of a sudden it moves down. Weird.. |

When I fill up the gauge initially goes all the way over to full, then drops back @ 1/6th. Maybe worth trying to fill up again immediately to see if there is an airlock or summat silly like that? .

Joe, the rise and fall after fuelling may be due to the diesel frothing up in the tank. When refuelling, try pumping the last 1/3rd of a a tank slowly, to prevent the fuel churning in the tank.
