looking for a 3rd party warranty company and i have heard good things about warrantydirect.co.uk however i have heard people have managed to get a discount. any tips on how to get this.

Keep playing hard to get my quote came down from nearly £700 to about £300 (sorry cant remember exact figures) but decided to go for the lite package that seems to cover all the big things if they let go for less than £100 but you have to break down and need recovery!!

Although not FF related , but the wife's XF warranty is about to expire and i am undecided whether to go with Jaguar for £86.35p a month or try one of the above ….

£87 a month is a decent amount of money whatever way you cut it.

Have you had any issues with it so far? If not why not stick the money in an ISA or suchlike and then when the time comes it will hepl if not cover any bills and will be less hassle than a warranty company that will try and wriggle out of it? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

If you want a big discount, go for a big excess, like £250, that's what I did, on the basis that I don't want to be claiming for small things anyway, too much hassle ! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

I have just joined the AA with an ad-on for parts & garage cover. Am paying roughly £20 per month all in and can claim 5 times per year up to a value of £500 per claim with a £35 excess. As long as you call them first for breakdown asssistance. Have had major issues this week, so sounds like a not too bad deal.

I've got a Warranywise policy - it covers everything except airbags and sat nav.

Cost £187 for 12 months.
