The 4.4tdv8 released in Australia doesnt come with a dpf fortunately!
What did the PCM upgrade cost and is it a dealer only fix? |

The noise doesnt bother me. It is more the surging back and forward like it is hunting. Rocks the car back and forward if you dont catch it.

This one definitely smokes when you floor it. It was driven by old people about 6000km a year with oil changes every year so great service history. Just this smoking issue.

The oil smell was luckily identified by the Pre-purchase inspection and will be fixed by the dealer as a condition of purchase.

| The TDv8 is the most sensible choice. However, I am not convinced that they will go the distance given how complicated they are. If a turbo or two fail or fuel pumps die, these can cost some money.
