I've got a replacement battery booster arriving tomorrow so going to get SDD loaded up and do some logging. I'm going to try running the fuel priming routine to see if it helps.

As with any RR service history is a must.

Oil is the most important thing when it comes to the longevity of the chains. LR extended service intervals are no good in this regard.

I don't know if it's the same with diesels but my IID was able to show injector pulse widths on my 5.0 which can pinpoint a problem one!

In my experience, yes.

No need to bleed at all, it does the whole job for you.

Drain the coolant from the lowest point (I think its on the bottom of the rad if I'm recalling correctly)

If it helps, on my 2010 the pipes didn't go completely flat/get crushed and are fairly robust. The workshop manual actually recommends the use of a vacuum bleeders as well.

It depends how patient you are, I bled manually (successfuly) once when I did the thermostat but the second time no good. Probably too much air as a result of opening up the water pump.

I had to get a pressure bleeder in the end, these things are a nightmare to bleed manually.

There is a manual here that explains how to do it but I wouldn't bother if you want to keep your sanity. ...
