I have empty slots (not connected at all) where the diagram says it should be and where the drawings state ... |

Thanks Merchy - tried that. Even took the centre console apart to make sure the gear stick was pulling on the cable when moving.

Also going to check the serpentine belt too, as the issue only happens when the engine is at running temp, i wondered if the belt was slipping when it heats up ... |

Yeah, had the alternator out and yes my knuckles suffered colossal damage whilst taking the viscous fan off
