Tried to open the drivers door the other day and nothing. I now have to get in via the passenger door and reach over to open the door from inside

I'm assuming one of the rods has popped off inside. Is it much of a job to get the door card off? Alternatively, can it be accessed by removing the door handle? I'm told they are removable without having to take off the card.

door cards are easy to get off, just be brave with the clips along the top near the window as they are very tight and remember to take the black plastic clip off the door in the centre and put it back on the door card before putting the card back on. the outer door handle is not removable without taking the door card off.

Did you fix your handle, if so what parts were needed? Mine has just stopped working, described in another thread on here.

Ok so I've bought cable FQZ000041 from LR, was only £8 so pleased about that but very surprised that iots 700mm long?

So my question is how does that cable connect the external handle to the lock which is about 100mm away?

I don't want to pull the door card to find either I'm going to struggle or I have the wrong item?

I have a feeling the 2 ends clip in to the mechanisms and the rest loops up on itself, hope that's true?

the length sounds about right, when its fitted its looks like a big c shape. fitting it to the door handle is the easy part, the lock mechanism is a bit more tricky. i find it easier to unbolt the mechanism to fit the cable.
