Having a quite annoying problem since last night.

I removed both plugs of the left side lambda sensors to clean them a bit to see if that clears a small issue I have with them. Used WD 40 and had the car in high/offroad position. After that lowered it to access height as normal when parking it overnight.

After lowering it, I got all kinds of faults :
Dynamic Stability Control, Orange warning light
Lo range gear, green light flashing
Suspension lowered (seems normal) light on panel off
HDC inactive
Tranmission fault (after driving)
Brake, orange light in dash

Overnight parking did not clear any of the faults

The car drives fine, no other funny business going on as far as I can see/hear. Does anyone have an idea what is going on and how to get solve it? Haven't had a chance to hook up the Faultmate yet. Help highly appreciated. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Sounds Battery related so a RESET may be in order. I think you disconnect battery teminals and briefly touch them together but you better check with other answers first.

check your battery conections (especially neg pole) and/or your ABS module connections. all these lights coming on point to the ABS module not being able to read the inputs from all the different sensors and so brings up a fault for each of them

did you put the lamda sensors back correctly?

Hi guys, thanks for the quick feedback. Will do the battery trick like Gaz suggested.

Battery is only a few months old so I am not expecting that it is the problem (will check voltage anyway) and since the problem persist even after a drive I am not expecting issues. Will put vaseline on the battery poles to stop corrosion.

On connecting the lambda sensors, not possible to switch them or connect them incorrectly (only go in one way) and I did one at the time anyway. I was thinking that I may have touched something on that side of the gear box but can't remember seeing anything there like electrical connectors...........

I wouldn't recomend using WD40 to clean electrical connectors as it is oil and can act as an insualtor if not cleaned off properly 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

Hi Andy, totally agree, unfortunately it is the only stuff I have here right now. Not easy finding anything here. I would love to get my hands on some decent contact cleaner !!

As for the faults, all gone. First tried as Gaz suggested but only for a few seconds. Didn't do the trick. Then I left the negative of the pole for a good half hour (while having lunch) and that did the trick. So all good again !!! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
