Sometimes the stereo/radio on our 2011 4,4 tdv8 seems to get in a bit of a state. Almost like the computer has 'crashed'.

Sounds like a software problem, possibly requiring an upgrade |

when wife 1.0 got to work's carpark - she turned car off, waited a few mins, re-started and it's fine now.

...... Just had my software upgraded because of this; audio system would lock especially after using the phone, satnav would get lost and suddenly I'd be on A roads rather than the M25!

It definitely happened previously - i.e. locking. And I 'fixed' by re-starting the vehicle and removing and re-inserting all the CDs.
