Don't pretty much all cars do this? At 30-ish there isn't enough wind pressure to send the water up onto the roof and too much to allow it to run down the screen, so it has to go somewhere....

My wife's little BMW does and all the cars I have had did this (IIRC). There was one exception which was my e39 BMW 5 series where they didn't reverse the sweep of the wipers for the RHD market.

Did get the irritating water, but on the passenger window Thumbs Up

It bugs me too.

The wife laughs at me when I skoosh the windows on a clean car and look to the side to see it trickle along the side window past me ... knowing that it'll leave a dirty streak on the window Smile V8 or else ...

Just do what I do - refuse to use your wipers until it rains sufficiently Smile

I'm told you simply don't need to use the wipers, the rain just blows off / falls off due to the lack of surface tension. Yet to try it though....(coming to you from the same guy who puts a molecular layer of fluid on his school swimming pool to keep the heat in!) Laughing .

You could try opening the window - that should stop it getting streaked Rolling Eyes

I use Rainex on my side windows, only needs doing once a year. It helps the water streak off but you are left with a dirty mark. Discovery 4 HSE

i tend to use the wash/wipe after a dry night to get rid of the dust/dirt on the screen so the rainex stuff wont work. ... - .- -.
