Sorry but I would have to say that the standard jack is crap. There have been a number of warnings on another forum about the FF jack. May be O'k on concrete but thats all. Good trolley jack is the way to go. I carry a hydrolic bottle jack in mine.

Is the lift sufficient to get the wheel off the ground? Quite a lot of wheel travel to deal with. Is it good on its own or does it need a block underneath it? 2012 5.0L S/C

Yes RR9701 something like that. Enough room around spare wheel to fit it in. Just hope never to use either.

IIRC you need to put the car into "off road" setting so that the suspension travel is all but eliminated before the wheel leaves the ground when you start jacking..... Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Forcing it into extended mode would be better but i don't think this can be done via internal buttons, just a testbook/faultmate? |

I've changed a full set of wheels using the std jack without issue, I also have 15 ton bottle jacks. Don't know what all the fuss is about with the std jack, it fits the locator under the cill and does the job. Yes a trolly jack would be quicker, but its not something you want to store in your boot, and is difficult to use on uneven ground. |

its not the actual scissor jack its self, its the bar that turns the screw bit which ,in my case has bent ..maybe a more robust handle would make it easier to use.. |

I didnt feel like you were holding us up. I just felt bad it had happened to you as I was thinking as I drove up that a puncture would be a nightmare. You came prepared though which is prob why you sorted it so quickly. FFRR TD6 HSE
