As the RRS/FFRR/D3 all use the same canbus system and ECU there is no problem in using the BAS interface on all TDV6 and TDV8 versions. Indeed Pete has remapped lots of FFRRs via his box including Tim (formerly of this parish) who now has an Evoque.

As for cost you would need to speak to whoever is selling the box as they would have needed to contact Pete prior to selling. "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

The BAS box works well - and as already stated gives you the option to switch between standard map & re-map as often as you like

I even asked Pete for a bit more in certain areas and he emailed me a new map almost straight away - he seems to work 24x7

The only down side is it seems to belch out quite a bit more smoke on full throttle, but the trade off is that it goes like stink - you need to be careful as it would be very easy to lose your licence

I think there was a special price for Disco3 board members - have a search around, I paid around £100 less than on his website

Whilst Pete is not a FFRR forum sponsor (he is for the RRS/D3/D4/Defender 2 and Evoque sites, I know he will offer the lower price to all of Martins forum members so the price of £519 inc VAT will stand as long as you can confirm you are a member etc - easy for Pete to check anyway so no problem

Alistair, you mention some smoke on full throttle - have you mentioned this to Pete as he will make adjustments if needed but if you have asked him to turn up the wick a bit it may just be down to your vehicle being close to the limit etc. My RRS went like stink and there was a slight hint of smoke but nothing to worry about or I could not live with - Pete offered to back it off a bit but I refused

As previously stated you will need to speak to the person that is selling the box as they will have already agreed to sell the box on with Pete's permission and will have set the price for the box as such that the price Pete charges makes it worthwhile.
