Might just have been caused by the excessive rainfall we had the past week Mick, then getting in and out with damp clothing won't help.

Have only got in the car in the mornings John to do the school run to the train station , straight out the house into car wouldn't have damp clothing on ….

What i have noticed is that when i put the Auto air con on , on that dial there is no orange marker lights that show , (which did on the SC) up unless i press full A/C (separate button) ….

Maybe the air con is gubbed Confused Confused ====================================

mick
from memory on my 2008, same on my latest 2011, when the aircon is on auto both lights will be illuminated on the temperature/aircon dial.the system will sense the temperature and alter the fan speed automatically until it gets to the desired temperature
when u want just aircon to stay on but manually alter the temperature only one light is on.
i think theres either something wrong with the temperature switch or the aircon is not working properly.
you can even have the temperature dial right up to hottest temperature , which allows hot air to come out of the vents but the aircon/air dryer should still be working.
this is what takes the misting away from inside
hope this helps Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up Ian and others …

This is roughly what i mean ( sorry pish i-phone pics ) .. Took them without the Flash on so you could see what lights i am referring to

Picture 1

When i press just the A/C button on the left hand side the centre Auto button stay's the way it is , yet on the SC a series of lights around the dial would illuminate although there is a rush of air through all the vents ….

Picture 2

When i press the top left button for MAX A/C that is when the centre dial illuminates and although there is plenty of air coming through the vents , so i am guessing that the Air Con works okay , and have checked everywhere inside the car , top of footwells , floor , boot area , door seals , drain runners , not one bit of dampness or water anywhere inside the car , just cannot figure out where all the heavy misting is coming from …

if you have that on then you dont get fresh air from the outside....the same air inside the range will cause misting [i think]

Just set the temp, Press the Auto button in the middle, and the auto re-circulating button and jobs done!
