This is true if you feed it with the "headphone out" on your iPod, but use the dock connector and it's excellent. For a few quid off the bay I got a 12V cig charger with USB out; plus siamese cable with a USB and 3.5mm jack at one end and a dock connector at the other, works very well. Obviously, have to use the phone controls not the steering wheel controls, but it's £4 instead of £400. I believe you only have the aux in if you have RSE.

I don't have an auxiliary socket either. I wanted to find a cheap/easy way of playing music from my iPad but there isn't that option for me. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

so it would appear that not all of the facelifts have them? is there a way of replacing the multi cd in the glovebox with a way of plugging the ipod in there? cheers everyone |

Maybe this is model year specific. I don't have RSE but do have the AUX socket. +2 Mine is one of the early TDV8s (Sept 06). No RSE but do have the AUX port at the rear of the centre console (it's hidden under a flap). Paul
