Has anyone got experience of driving on General Grabber AT's in the snow?

Yes and no. Ive have used AT2s in the snow on a P38 and found them to be much better than the Wintracs I had on the FF last year which is why I have fitted a set of ATs (255/55R19) to the FF this year. I have done about 1000 miles so far in sun and rain and I am very impressed, but as yet no snow. 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone
2005 4.4V8 (M62) Bonatti Grey/ Parchment interior - gone
1998 4.6HSE Blue/ Cream interior (can't remember exact colours) - gone
1977 White - gone (should have kept)

I've had At2's on my Range Rovers for 5 years.
Last year travelled up to Scotland, and covered over 200 miles in the snow, never had a problem. Steering never felt light and good grip, especially in virgin snow.

Also the set I have on at the moment have done around 40K and are not even half worn, will die of old age before worn out! Very Happy

Same as Drakes here had mine on for a month now and no snow yet but I can confirm that they are good in the rain much much better than Goodrich AT's .The thing is the AT2's were a known product but the new AT's are just that , new and I haven't heard any feedback yet. 2008 MY Supercharged

Had General Grabber AT's on my Discovery when I lived in Scotland.
Encountered serious snow year after year and never got stuck, most other people did Smile
When the time comes wouldn't hesitate to put them on my present car.
They never wore out, eventually had to replace them after 6 years due to cracks in tyre walls.

I can't speek for snow, but i've got them on my ff at the moment in prep for the white stuff; they don't like the road - they squeel and slide if you put to much torque down on a roundabout. __________________

I'm running grabbers at the moment and have to agree with Dave Angel, get a fun four wheel slide in the wet around tight corners.

Only snow I have dealt with was on road tyres - no problems even 2ft deep, uphills (passing X5's Smile) or over roundabouts to get round the traffic! FFRR 4x4 traction deals with most of it so the grabbers will just be icing on the cake.

Ice is the problem - nothing will help you there Wink .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

can't speak for the FFRR, but i should imagine they would work well on it. i had AT2's fitted on my V8 D2. they were my all year round tyres!! very quiet for an AT tyre, good in the wet, mud etc and obviously did the job in the winter.

as stated by others they never wear out either!! bargain!! Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE
