Cool. That's ace.

To get more power, what is it you put into an engine besides air?

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

i am going to get my TDV8 remapped by Angel tunning the cost is £340 i do 14,000 miles per year, i get 26mpg around town so based on this + 3mpg i should save £415 per year so a net profit of £75 in the first year and more power if i need it. I wouldn't want to have it remapped if it gave me less mpg my main reason is better fuel eficency, after all 268bhp is not bad, any other feed back and opinions would be apreciated

I have a Viezu remap on my 3.6 TDV8 Vogue SE using a V-switch device. This is like a superchips bluefin that lets me switch between standard and remap in just a few minutes by connecting to the OBDII port.
Before the remap the best I managed on a long run at 70-80 was 31mpg, after the remap that has increased to 34mpg.
There is definitely more torque as I have performed some novice timing during acceleration. My 50-80mph has decreased by 2 seconds and my 30-70mph has decreased by 1.5 seconds.
Since the remap I have had a blast with a supercharged Vogue whilst on an uphill slip road entering a motorway and there was nothing between us.
My previous car was a remapped BMW 335d so most things feel slow in comparison, but for 2800kg I am happy with the performance and economy.

I had a 535d remap...OMG that was great.....then a Brabus remap on a 320CDI CLS Merc...pants in comparison.

For a remap to do it's stuff in terms of performance, you need a decent engine to start with that is not set to its optimum. The 4.4 TDV8 would benefit I'm sure. Current MY2020

That must have been a 4.2 Supercharged then as I can't see a 5L with 510 BHP not running clear of a 3.6 TDV8, even a remapped one!
