After collecting my 2003 ffrr this weekend i have had loads of trying to find out how everything works,still learning lol
one thing is whenever i put her in reverse both wing mirrors seem to have a fit and move all over so i have to adjust them before i can move,
can some one please tell me how to stop this happening

the nearside will drop its angle of view to help reversing if you have the 'side' selector towards the off side, but its weird that both mirrors having a fit...
there are micro switchs inside the mirror units that do get stuck causing problems ..did you pressure wash the range ? maybe water has got into them..

No i havent power washed it i have been and tryed it again and yes it was only the n/s one that moved,
they must have been moving together when i was using different keys to open it,
i have still to learn how to properly program everything yet happy times lol  Current Stable:

now when i press the button to unlock it, all the doors apart from the drivers door unlock and i have to unlock the drivers door with the key

I can't help with the door situation, but may be able to help with the mirrors.

Start up the car and get the seats and mirrors into the position that you want and then memorise the position on number one by holding the memory button on the side of the seat and then pressing number one at the same time.

Once you have done this, put the vehicle into reverse and let the mirrors move and wait until they stop. Once they have stopped and whilst the vehicle is still in reverse, adjust the mirrors to where you would like them to be when you are reversing. Then repeat the memory save process above by pressing the memory button and then number one at the same time (press mem first and whilst pressed press number one).

This should memorise the mirror positions for drive and reverse, and fingers crossed the mirrors will only move to the position that you have saved in the reverse position.

I'd be interested to hear if this cures the problem.

PS If you need to use both keys for yourself then you will need to repeat this process again with the other key and make sure you lock with the first key after the first 'save' then unlock with the second key before you repeat the process the second time. Or alternatively just use the one key.

didnt know you memorise the reverse mirror position..

Note - This will only work in the passenger mirror.

me neither! and after all that faffing around on several L322's with the passenger mirror for the last 5 years

tried this on mine today, doesn't work, I did exactly as per Dan's instructions, but I cannot move the mirror once it has dropped to the reverse kerb level view - the mirror adjust button has absolutely no effect when the mirror is in the dropped position.

i followed the advice from James and it all worked even the mirror, it only works after you do the memory thing then have the mirror button acros to the drivers side Current Stable:

thanks, I'll try it again, trouble was when the mirror dropped and I moved the button over to drivers side it came back up again...

maybe I missed something
