Those prices are from France country

LPG : 0.68 euro = approx 0.58 £

Petrol : 1.45 eur = 1.241 £

Diesel : 1.34 eur = 1.147 £

But it is the cheaper prices near me

Although you paid 60% more for the car with your luxury car tax, no? Very Happy
Yes, Luxury tax on new cars.
Also $0.39 ?? fuel excise tax & 10% GST on top of that. So thats a Tax on a Tax for our fuel.

Does it really make any difference what price fuel is. I never look at the price, no point in getting the blood pressure up

I think it does matter as it was only a few years ago i passed my test and it was 70p/l back then!!
When i first started using LPG it was 29p/l, that has more than doubled since then and that was only a few years ago when i had my coupe so no more than 4-5yrs!

I think with the current tax on fuel, we shouldn't have to pay an RFL as the fuel more than makes up for this, ie the more milage you do the more fuel you use the more taxs you end up paying to maintain the roads.

Yes i know this a narrow and naive view but this is how the system should be working for us as we are the governments customers after all.

Totally agree with you pleb. That way any cocks who don't pay their RFL would be paying, as everyone who uses a car needs to fuel it! [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Exactly.

I can see why the gov still keeps the RFL, but to be honest, does anyone who pays over £200 a year really care if their car is damaging the enviroment? Its just a boost to the RFL admin charge to help prop up the DVLA Evil or Very Mad

Scrap it i say, make everyone pay £10 a year for it or £20 to cover expense's and cut fuel back 5-10p/l and the money would easily be made back up from people using their cars more and the biggest users, ie frieght, still help fill the coffers a fair whack.

Was in New York 3 weeks ago and taxi driver said hew was paying $3.69 a gallon for petrol which at the exchange rate then was equivalent to £2.34 /gallon!! ( or @52p per litre ) . And the guy thought fuel was expensive until I told him I was paying just under $10 /gallon for diesel , he couldn't believe it. Think it made him feel better though!! Steve

the goverment should take a risk and knock 30p of the price on a litre of petrol/diesel...the transport costs for delivery /haulage companys will dramatically fall so our food cost will go down making us spend more etc etc..

companys with sales reps will have lower costs so their products will be cheaper..

generally people will use their cars more to go shopping so everyone wins and the economy gets stronger and stronger..

so mr cameroen , if you're reading this Very Happy take my suggestion on board and you'll be a peoples hero ..
