Children in Need

Made my yearly donation but this year I was in two minds about donating as about three weeks ago I got a call from C I N asking me if I could donate more and set up a monthly direct debit of £15 as it is not only only once a year they need money but all year round , I felt like telling the guy on the phone were to go as he was getting a bit stroppy because I wouldn't set up a DD .

Some may say I'm being miserable by not doing so , but it's not only C I N that I donate to during the year ..... Plus I would rather do it by choice rather than be pressurised into it ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

+1 Mick, I have a couple of DD's (mostly cancer charities due to a family member's good treatment)

I also wholeheartedly. Believe that most donations should be momentary because you want to support something telephone chuggers usually get hung up on!

It's not charity if they ask for it - that's begging !

Giving is done through ones own good nature to try & help, but I too hate it when they pester you for donations and get a huff or a eye roll when you say sorry I can't cause I already gave or am supporting another charity.

My good lady was in London yesterday and went into Harvey Nicks for lunch. When the bill arrived there was a £1 "donation" added to her bill for some charity or other!

As like others on here, we choose the method of our charity donations, so she told them to remove it, but I wonder how many people don't even notice this and blindly pay it? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
Had- 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black
Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey
