United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover SE Td6 Zermatt Silver
Best Car in the World

Having driven most cars on the road at some stage in my career I have decided that the Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 or 5.0 (if very lucky) is quite literally the best car to drive (everyday use) in the world.

Its the amazing smoothness compared to the Diesels that makes all the difference. I drove down to Bracknell tonight and it felt like I was gliding above the road surface and tracking dead centre with zero effort. I could have driven to Switzerland and back and still been smiling. Then you put your foot down....

Amazing car that I truly adore Thumbs Up

Petrol is quite a bit cheaper than Diesel and a TDV8 will only do 22mpg ish on the school run....

The money you save on buying an SC will more than pay for the slight difference plus you get a free smile.... Cool

The constant grin compensates for the fuel costs. Mind you I have only had it for about 12 hours!

Well, I did the sums and that's not really true (grins Mr. Green aside) unless you can get a great deal, AND only do small mileages.. 6k a year maybe. The SCs also depreciate faster and cost more to insure, so you may need to factor that in. Graham

You did not happen to buy a TDV8 with a little help from me recently did you...... Whistle

Both great cars I just love the SC feel and I don't mean the raw power just the smoothness.

Oh, yes, I agree... No secret. I really did do the sums, and I really picked a TDV8 as the viable choice despite you (and others) having some gorgeous SCs at less money... Graham

Since changing from the SC to the TDV8 I have to say I've no regrets , apart from missing the Brembo's and stiffer suspension .

Can't fault my old SC tho Thumbs Up ====================================

My TDV8's got Brembo brakes. Is this unusual? Graham
