Gps Radar Detectors

Looking to get a new speed radar detector ( not that i speed much but those wiley feckers are up to all sorts nowadays ) Laughing ,,, plus they have more cameras than the BBC

Just wondering if any of you guys have them and what ones you would recommend … previously had the Road Angel in the SC … ( Just in case your mate is wondering what the hard wired Lead is RRUK above the drivers side air vent ) Thumbs Up ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

i use an inforad ,only cost about £20...you download the speed camera poi's onto it and it makes a noise when you're near one...it doesn't 'detect' cameras though.. ... - .- -.

There is a passive system that if it picks up the beam from a certain type of garage opener it will bounce the right beam back to open the garage and heard they work quite well as long as you actually have said garage opening system Wink I would go that route rather than downlodaing daily updates for locations where cameras used to be as the mobile units are becoming more popular by comparison now...

I have seen the Coyote system in use in Holland, Belgium and France (where it originates from). It works quite well as it is based on live data from other users. My friend says it is working very well, the more subscribers (France !!!) the better it works.

No idea whether it is in the UK yet but definitely worth have a look. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

The systems based on GPS location - which covers the GATSO type cameras works well as the location is stored as a POI on most systems. TomTom etc. Unless the law has changed and I for some reason have missed out on this wonderful new legislation the other type which actually detects the radar sent from the mobile camera or speed device - Snooper, Road Angel etc, are illegal in this country. You can buy one and fit it, just don't get stopped by the old bill with one turned on in your car or they can quite happily seize it. It comes under the heading ' Doing an act intending or leading to perverting the course of justice'. Whistle 2006 MY Autobiography. With 'toys'

Does that mean it needs to be turned off when they pull you over as there is no way to actively test for the mini doplar type ones is there?

It's just a visual check. The cameras won't detect that you have one but the display on a laser speed detection device goes bananas so it's obvious one is on in the car. You are not supposed to use them as the operate on frequencies reserved for broadcasting and other agencies 2006 MY Autobiography. With 'toys'

I had the Origin B2 and the laser jammer on my TVR Tuscan and it was great. I can't remember if the jammer was illegal then (2003) but it definately is now. B2 was good though.. Regards

I have my Origin B2 in its box since I took it out of my BMW 535d a few years ago now, but didn't have the garage door opener.

I've never been caught by a Gatso but mobile radar guns have caught me a few times, normally in a 30mph zone doing 38mph! Never in the Aston at 150+ Whistle

So what's the best on the market now with a garage door opener? Is the Pogo any good? Current MY2020
