Take it off Joe as the adhesive is gone and you wont be able to repair it. Think it looks better without fronts done anyways |

Sorry for my ignorance here - tinted windows are illegal on the front windows over there or just windows tinted beyond certain limits? - and if the latter, what is te limit?

you must have 70% of light to be able to go through, so whether clear factory windows with tints or tinted factory with additional tints ,that's the figure the police check.. ... - .- -.

Not sure if I could handle that... Brrr. Sun is just starting to get warm over here. Had a beautiful day of 30 on the weekend, but it was a bit humid today, and only 26. All well and good at the moment, but in a couple of months, it will be too bloody hot, and that is when you really need the tinted windows... |

Vehicle & Operator Services Agency (VOSA) Statement The UK Road Vehicles (Construction & Use) Regulations 1986 Act details the legality of window tinting in the UK - and as amended specifies the minimum levels of light that must pass through the windscreen and front side windows. For a legal window tint in the UK the specifications are: a) Motor Vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1985 b) The light transmitted through the windscreen must be at least 75%. c) The front side windows (to either side of the drivers’ head) must allow at least 70% of light to be transmitted through them. If the glass is tinted to a point whereby it lets through less light, the vehicle is breaking UK Window tinting law. Therefore if you add tinted film you'll be over the edge, for those that want additional security clear film would be the way forward. In my local area - If Police stop you and have the required testing equipment, you will recieve advice - non endorsable fixed penalty notice - endorsable fixed penalty notice - Court summons on a sliding scale dependant on the level of conspicuity, or prohibition/delayed prohibition. If VOSA are involved - prohibition/delayed prohibition - summons. Hope that helps |
