Airbag light on..

For some unknown reason, when I started the car today at the petrol station, the airbag light came on and has stayed on since.
How do I turn it off? 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

I'd say you'll need to establish whether there's a fault in the SRS system by using a diagnostic tool. A common fault/weak point on several cars that I've worked on or owned (my Alfa was a Censored for it) seems to be the connector beneath driver or passenger seat: it moves when the seat slides back and forth which tends to deteriorate the connection between cable and plug, and is also prone to damage by passengers' feet when sat in the back. But then, it could be anything... Shocked

Would be interested to hear the outcome.

Does the seat heating work? I have the SRS light on and seat heating isn't working and the dealer in my town said he cannot communicate with the airbag computer? I have to take the car to another dealer 400km away...

Yeah, the seat heating works fine. I did reset the trip meter when I refueled. Might have spiked the electrics or something.

Noddy,

This happened to mine earlier this year. The Airbag SRS light just came on one day for no apparent reason. I took it to Dealer who lug in the diagnostics and said there was a fault with the firing loom on the drivers airbag. They reset it and it was fine for a few weeks. When it came on again they did another diagnostic test and same fault was shwon. They could not pin point the exact component failure but guessed it was the rotary coupler on the steering wheel. I asked them for a quote but still waiting. In the meantime I'm told all the airbags are disarmed whilst the light is on..bit scary!

let us know what you un-earth as I'm keen to get to the bottom of this also.
