Was driving today and on 2 seperate occasions I got the suspension fault message appearing with the little "bing" noise.

The problem resets itself when the car is restarted but wanted to get to the bottom of it as I don't think it's the compressor as it would display fault all the time. This issue is like an intermitting gremlin that appears every so often.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem. It was a faulty ride height sensor. £120 at the dealer. Current MY2020
Gone: 1 x L405 and 2 x L322's

Height sensors are around £25-£30 each but they do need to be plugges into the computer to be set

can this be done at an indy?

where can i source the sensors from?

Best get the sensors from LR, there are some for sale on ebay which look the same but they are for the Disco.

The sensor needs to be calibrated after being replaced.

An indy can do it with a LR T4/IDS system (pre06/06>), Autologic, Faultmate, Hawkeye or our IIDTool. If it's a pre06, Storey's RAC will also work. The latter 4 are also available for DIYers.

You'll have to have the fault read before doing anything - and it could still be the compressor. If the compressor runs too long before building sufficient pressure you'll also get a fault as described.
