New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

I can't give you any MPG as mine are not relevant, pottering around Lagos in heavy traffic most of the time. Every now and then I go for a no traffic run (Saturday/Sunday) and that doubles my MPG. Also petrol here is so cheap that I don't care at all what the MPG is.

I can tell you that the S/C is the best car I have ever driven and I will find any excuse to use it. If you hate stopping for fuel I would go for the TDV8, I'd wish I could get one here for when I do my overland Africa trip (Lagos to North Africa, North Africa to Cape L'Aghulas in South Africa) mainly because of the range.

What I used to do was calculate the savings on buying the car and offset it against higher fuel cost. If that was a problem I'd put LPG in the car (if that made economical sense of course). Since the S/C seems to be a bit cheaper to buy, you can "use" those savings for the extra fuel cost and see how far that takes you.

I can not judge re. driving the TDV8 as I have never driven one (my loss I know) but the S/C is a very special car to drive and I don't regret it for a minute that I got it.

Ultimately, you should choose the car that makes you smile most and that you can afford "easily", that way you can not go wrong IMHO. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Simples.....

The SC is by far the most enjoyable to drive whether on school run or dashing about on A roads.

I get nearly 18mpg but that's mostly on 5-10+ mile runs.

(I use the D3 for the school run)

Get an SC : http://www.garyelliott.co.uk/prestige_cars/ (i specialise in them) Whistle

I agree with Gaz, the S/C is simply the more enjoyable car. I've driven both & have run a S/C for 4 years, which i bought as a third car but enjoyed it so much I sold my first car (a S/C XJR) & use the S/C RR as my everyday car clocking up over 75,000m.

So if you can go for S/C Thumbs Up
