Hi, my RR was registered new in March 2006 but the build date was october 2005 and its a 3.0 td6, I am struggling to get any sence out of the towbar companys as to which Westfalia to purchase , as there is two different types for this model, some are saying its to do with the exhaust brackets and some are saying its the engine.
Any ideas .

I have had quite a few quotes and a lot of the towbar companys are trying to sell me the towtrust detachable, which is obviously cheaper than the westfalia.

Do you want detachable or not really bothered as all in my Towtrust and landrover bits came to about £250 and i installed it myself

Im guessing like me you have a pre-facelift model. I had to bend the bracket a little for the exhaust clamps but its been fine since fitting and the exhaust has had a few boulder bash's.....

Looks like mine but mine hangs down an extra inch at the minute as i need to sort it properly but it hasn't affected anything really

From what I can see in the photo's it also looks the same as mine which is the later style. The earlier style had welded exhaust mounts part way along the long section, where as the later style like yours has a separate exhaust bracket each side which is bolted on.

The photo below shows the armature for the earlier style and it clearly shows the welded exhaust brackets
