Which model / generation? I need for '02/03...

and what would I do with them? Can I buy a new key fob and install, if so can you specify? Do I need LR to programme? .

LR don't need to programme a 2002/3 key fob, there is a write up somewhere on the site and also should be in Wiki about how to do it

They are for the early type key 02-06MY, i.e. not the flip out kind

So, I buy one of these (or similar):

and then I buy one of your internal circuit boards

put the circuit board in the fob, get the blade cut to match my existing key....then what? Do this?

Quote:
Programming a Key

1) Get in and close all doors. Turn ignition on and off quickly and remove the key (all within about 5 seconds).

2) Within 30 seconds of turning the ignition off, while holding down the "unlock" button, press the "lock" button three times. Release the "unlock" button. (You may or may not get the confirmation from the door locks.) Holding the key at your head level provides best results as the key sensor is in the side window pillar.

3) Repeat for each key you want to initialize within 30 seconds after the last one you initialized (if you have more).

4) Right after doing the last key, quickly put the key back in the ignition and turn it on/off again to finalize.

But I need a transponder too? .

That is only to re-sync the remote locking.

If you bought a brand new key, it would still require programming to the car, but the transponder is in the key casing, and not the circuit boards

If you had the original key, you could swap over the transponder chips, thus not requiring any programming, only a re-sync as posted above
