i used to paint cars for a living amongst other things so all i did was strip them back to the plastic and respray them gloss black ...it toke a lot of work and coats to get them as shiney as they are but was well worth it and i think cost a totle of £50 in materials Thumbs Up

i think thats all powerfull do as well....just find a good body shop and make sure they use an etching primer on them first "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"

kingpleb.

If your not some kind of a wizz with a spray can i would suggest you get them done at a shop! Please remember you have to look at them every day you drive it!

I have a customer that "had a go" himself and well! Shocking Censored springs to mind!

The bodyshop charged me £15 per item when i did my 2004 and i had 28 parts done! They said it was a nightmare and repainted around 60 percent of it due to imperfections...

By all means get a tin and give it a go my friend, but these were professionals that struggled with the vast amount of prep needed, the parts were all covered in different materials which all had to be stripped during prep without damaging the plastic surface...

Hope this info helps pal

Craig Thumbs Up

Cheers Craig Smile

For the few quid rattlers cost i'm willing to give it a pop, ive done a fair few bits myself on past cars from bumpers, alloys, brembos, and cam covers but the high temp paint was a lot easier to do Very Happy

Biggest thing is doing it in a dry enviroment to avoid bubbling Smile

+1 Thumbs Up i must say i used to spray cars for a living and despite that painting these parts was a pain in the ar5e for me as there is a lot of prep work to do and if you miss one bit the whole part will react "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"
