Yeah, toying with the idea of an iphone 3GS - they are on release next week on my network and I'm due an upgrade. Anyone any dramas with them??? Range Rover compatibility suggests a no-go... Crying or Very sad

Dan, Connected the Daughters 2g I-Phone to the car works fine only problem being it wont show the phone book on the in dash screen , so would have to dial the number from the handset ...

So i take it the wife's 3gs phone will work the same via bluetooth..... Thumbs Up

Might need a software update at the dealers for all to work fine with an iPhone. My Rangie had one done just after I got it and the iPhone 3G has worked fine ever since. The bad news is the update is about £45 from a dealer.

Mick my phone book works with 2006 MY Rangie. Smile

Hi Stocky, I was only trying to connect the i-phone as Dan had asked to see if it worked , I do not have the i-phone it is my Daughter and Wife who both have one.

Personally i don't see the appeal of the I-phone ...... Thumbs Up I use the BB 8900 and Nokia E71, plus the Nokia 6230 in the cradle in the centre console .... Thumbs Up

Mick, thanks for trying connection - I'll be approaching Orange tomorrow. Interestingly, I've also been considering the Blackberry 8900; Nokia E71; and the HTC Hero as a possible alternative...

Stocky, cheers for the info also. Good to know the phonebook works with the vehicle also.

£45 for sw upgrade? That's well cheap. My local stealer wanted £100, and then could not be 100% it would work, so got and old Nokia for the armrest insted.
