Hi guys it's happened again, so I called RAC. Guess what happens as soon as he arrives the thing fires up. Then we tried about 20 times and only 2/3 times it did not turn over. So it should not be the battery but a faulty part - lock barrel? Solenoid? |

The battery is less than a year old. Its been starting fine for the last day, even though I was doing stop/start journeys. |

Poor earth to the starter, knackered starter, broken wire, inhibitor switch on gearbox, blown fuse, there are so many things that could cause this problem and only by working through some of the more common faults will you be able to eventually find the cause |

Mine does this occasionally, even though she starts fine after removing and re-inserting the key. |
