hi all just been thinking about buying a snap on diagnostic machine eigher the mt2500 or the solus pro now im aware that i wont be able to do everything with one of these but it should pay for itself , now my questions are
-can i turn the service lights of
-can i do full diagnostics
-programming of electrics varius
does anybody know if i need a specific minimum on software version for it to work ?

the reason for not going for a dedicated L/R based system is its going to be used on other vehicles but i want too be able to do enough on the FFRR to justify buying  onto no6 Range Rover

I take it the unit you are looking at is an OBDII?

You should be able to reset service lights and the like, but any body control items such as central locking programming, air suspension etc can only be done via the manufacturer's software.

There is a sticky thread about obd2 readers, might be worth you going through that? Discovery 4 HSE
