There is no 'upper' front suspension link, there is a compression link (towards the rear of the vehicle) which goes to the separate balljoint and a transverse link (towards the front of the vehicle) which has a balljoint already attached. If it is the compression link and balljoint the most difficult task is removing the balljoint and retaining bolts as they tend to rust in. A few days before you start the work give them a good soak with penetrating fluid and keep soaking every day until you are ready to do the repair. Order new bolts for holding the balljoints in place as there is every likelihood of damaging the old ones.
