And i bet you all have something called grindr from the app store as well Wink

My Mrs is on her 2nd i4, has a 27" iMac and a new macbook pro....

To me its like designer clothes, some are good and worth the money and some aren't.

For what 99% of the population do with PC's a bog standard £250 jobby from asda will do well, but for Gamers and Photo/Video editors mac's represent a half decent value for them but gamers really need to stick with PC's.

Im happy with my wee widlfire other than the bluetooth bit with the FFRR Smile

Might see about the iPhone 5 as i have an iPod 4g thats great but gets really abused on the ride to work with rain and dirt...

I'm due for upgrade and was thinking of the iphone 4, but would it not be better now to wait for the 5 (I'll be tied in for 24 months)

It's a funny thing about smartphones, they ain't really that smart. Not great for surfing , generally poor phones, poor cameras and not very rugged. "Apps" can come to the rescue of course, but I don't need "Apps" on a normal computer (Mac or PC). Don't get me wrong I follow the herd and have had several iphones and a few HTC thingies but I also keep a 6310i - great phone, external aerial socket for in car use, battery lasts a week.

So:
Nokia 6310i - phone
Nikon 500D - camera
iPad2 - surfer, movie viewer
27" iMac - everything
ATV2 - TV on demand
Laptop - probable got it covered but then again I do work on the train.

not much change from £4k ...........................so I might as well add an iPhone5 - doh! Rolling with laughter Geoff

Grindr was mentioned on an old top gear with Mr Fry and i laughed at it lol!!

I'd certainly wait for the iPhone 5 as it cant be that far away as the iOS beta's are almost complete (im a iOS Developer) but just be ready to bend over the counter, drop the pants and pour copious amounts of oil down your back when it comes to handing over the readies, before you even pay the monthlies on it!!

I'm like super shuttle, got a decent Canon for pictures, a decent enough phone that can browse in an emergency and make calls and texts, an ipod for music and playing about with while on train and browsing mostly Smile

I know what you mean - tempted to go and get one now. But really I should wait a couple of months, as when I get one I can't change again for 2 years.. I wonder how the 5 will work with the RR Bluetooth ? I have a Nokia N97 at the moment and it works really well, it would be a shame to get something that didn't connect as good..

I also recommend waiting for the iPhone 5. I have an iPhone 4, and can't wait to upgrade it! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

My work BB Bold 9780 is shortly to be loaded into the clay trap. the Bold 9000 was a good bit of kit but dodgy trackball and flagstone like dimensions.

We administer a BES here and that's going to get filled with lighter fuel soon. piece of overpriced guff.

I use iPhone 4 with IMAP and iOS 5 looks to improve the enterprise capabilities.

If you can persuade Martin to make FFRR available on it, there is an app called tapatalk which is excellent for browsing forums on iPhone. It loads the latest posts very very quickly. Available for £1.99 from the App store or www.tapatalk.com. He added babyRR.com to it on Wednesday at the request of one Aussie member and it has proved to be a popular app for the forum members with smartphone. It works on iPad, Androids and Blackberry too. There is also a version of Firefox now designed especially for smartphones as an app 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes
