Hi, you need to remove the door card then undo the 10mm bolt 25mm back from the front of the inner black plastic handle holder, then remove a small black rubber grommet inside the door shut (behind the lock in drivers door and lock blank in other three) undo the torx head bolt and the lock cover will fall off in your hand. Undo the cable either at the handle end of the mechanism end and wiggle the handle... It should then come out... Hope this all helps, not too hard to do... Incidentally, the material land rover make the handles from is and even if you paint them you will find they may chip again! So if you do a web search for powerfull uk ltd, they do the handle covers in any painted colour and also chrome etc etc. I painted my first 2004 vogue set java black and soon realised the plastic material was to blame for the handles marking/chipping not the paint and fitted a set of their door handle covers which were on there for over four years before sale without one mark appearing!

I think the covers work really well and are a perfect fit.
