United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover SE Td6 Zermatt Silver

I would buy this unbreakable VW Tiguan:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/adv...?logcode=p £8900

Whatever the mileage it will be better than a Freelander1. My wife hasd one and I use it occassionally and it is without doubt the very best small 4x4 wagon on the market.

More importantly I feel safe when she is going long distance with the children in it. Built to last with all the safety features.

It drives like a car on the motorway but is very capable on the slippery stuff. My choice every time. Thumbs Up

If your budget will stretch to it then the Skoda Yeti 4x4 is definitely worth a look.

We have a 2001 V6 Freeloader.

Love it, it has a similar gearbox to the RR (steptronic shift), leather, heated seats n stuff.

You can throw it around corners, it's fairly quick for its size and isn't the most uneconomical thing in the world.

I genuinely don't know why people hate them so much, people say they aren't proper off roaders - but they are immense in the snow having pwned one of the last camel trophies.

2K buys you ours:

Standard except for some significant ICE upgrades!

Thanks everybody for all the replies.

Unfortuntely has to be an auto, so limits our choice.

Audi are too expensive, ditto Skoda Yeti, and most suggestions, Panda 4x4 would be too small, Disco too large!

This is why I hate changing my wife's car, she's so fussy, and when we eventually find a model which fits the bill, I'll find an ideal example, and she won't like the colour, or the interior trim...AAAAARrrrrrggghhh!

Best thing is probably to have a good test drive in a Freelander and see if she likes it! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!

The Kia looks pretty much the same price as the Freelander, so I'd rather go for the Land Rover! Range Rover-less at the moment - Pining!
