first of all, great site, i've been lurking about for a few weeks as a guest.

picked up my ffrr vogue 2002 on sat, what a machine, had a defender before.

the catridge seems to be stuck in the changer, it looks as if one of the sleeves is stuck out, if that makes sense.

is this a clarion unit, does someone know the part number for it.

any help would be great

hi mate, was reading... if you fit the bmw cd changer it will play mp3's and give you cd text..all the connections are the same but looks a bit of a big job to swap the unit..can any one confirm this with the bmw changer

sounds like mine when i got it , the lift mechanism gets bent due to the cartridge getting stuck ,can be fixed but may happen again i was told so i bought one from a bmw (same unit with a different front) fitted straight in an all ok, jusr check the plug on the rear as there are 2 types. good luck......mine was only 60 of ebay too

did your new one play mp3"s. and give you cd text.

no as i just got the earlier type but it does play cd/rw, i was'nt interested in the cd text etc

another quick question about the speakers,

on mine there doesnt seem to be much sound coming from the fronts, even when i put the fade to front only.

it seems most of the sound comes from the speakers on the back doors, is this normal?
