Thank You James, Jez and Lookers...

Many thanks to James, Jez and the LOOKERS Park Royal / Battersea Team for very kindly inviting me to their Evoque Launch and Test Drive Event at West Wycombe Park today.

We had a great time being introduced to this fantastic new car, as well as experiencing a bit of Clay Pigeon Shooting, some Fly Fishing and some delicious refreshments within some beautiful surroundings - and yet another oppotunity to get down and dirty with the legendary Defender...in the woods with Jez! Whistle

The Evoque is every bit as good as it needs to be and will sell like hot cakes - im sure...

...I might go as far to suggest the new Evoque makes more sense than a RRSport does within the LR/RR range.

I certainly wouldn't mind one myself - unfortunately however, my children now want a Shotgun each for Christmas!!!

Thanks again guys - I hope you all had a succesfull day!

Thumbs Up

Just buy the Evoque and tell them they can ride shotgun. Much more comfortable than hiking through the damp fields and woods finding something to shoot Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I'm beginning to wonder if the Evoque should not have had the Sport badge and not the Sport that we ended up with, nice car that it is, it isn't that sporty unless you go for an S/C. 2018 Mini Countryman Cooper S E All4 PHEV in Melting Silver - it’s whisper quiet in EV and polluter modes

That was kind of the point I was trying to make Tim - £ for £ the RRS is lacking so much in comparison to what a FFRR offers despite trying so hard to immitate it, weighs more and can cost nearly as much as the real thing.

The Evoque does its own thing, is lighter, can be considerably cheaper, sportier and isn't trying to be something it isn't Whistle

BUT I have to admit - IF I had the money to march into Lookers and purchase a new Evoque tomorrow (as nice as they are) - I know I would still end up leaving with a decent previously owned Full Fat Range Rover Rolling Eyes
