Facelift rear lights for a 05 Vogue?

I have read that alot of people facelift their rear lights.
But i canīt seem to understand if there are issues with wires and so on.
Can i just exchange my lights with newer ones? If so, are there any differences between 2010 and 2011 lights?
What problems can occur?

you can replace your rear lights with units up to 2009 and they are plug 'n' play , after that they went fully led and the wiring needs special attention...

Ok so are there any differences between the years 06,07,08 and 2009 or are they all the same style?

there are 3 variants , orange top with red below ,these were up to 2005... white top with red below , these were from 2006 to 2009 and white with white which were the supercharged ones...

Saw a 61 plate today and *love* the rear lights on that. Shouldn't be too hard to retro fit. Just the cost. Thumbs Up
